The PBS KIDS program “Lyla in the Loop” is spotlighting art by four students from Picadome Elementary, according to a KET news release. The animated series, which focuses on strategic problem solving and critical thinking skills, put out a call in spring 2023 for student art to use in the program’s opening credits. The second-grade art class at Picadome, taught by Gina Smith, submitted entries and four students later learned that their work was selected -- Clementine Day, Matilda Day, Laurel Bullock, and Oliver McCaffrey. All are now starting fourth grade, with Oliver in SCAPA at Bluegrass this year. Congratulations to these young artists!
