Three More Schools Earn Family Friendly Tag
Three more of our elementaries have earned the Family Friendly Schools designation from the Prichard Committee’s Kentucky Collaborative for Families and Schools. Congratulations to Lansdowne, Picadome, and Yates as well as to Breckinridge, which was certified for a second year.
These schools have been innovative and energetic in their efforts to make families a valued part of the school’s team, enriching the learning experience for all students. The 2024 honorees will be saluted during the Groundswell Summit slated for June 10-12 in Owensboro.
The first in Fayette County Public Schools to earn Family Friendly certification was Lafayette High School in 2022. SCAPA at Bluegrass followed suit in 2023, along with Breckinridge Elementary.
